Planting Stories
Our church planters come from all walks of life — from various stages of life. Each one is called to minister to the lost, assessed to determine their giftedness and trained to be fully effective in the field.

Mike Silliman, West Grove, Pennsylvania
Mike and Naomi Silliman moved to southern Chester County, Pennsylvania, to plant what is now known as Elk Creek Church in West Grove.
Their journey in church planting included participation in the Assessment Center established by Go2’s Jim Snavely. This time of intense self-reflection and assessment of skills and personality is ideal for anyone who feels the call to church planting:
Mike shares about his church planting relationship with Go2:
“As a first-time church planter, I realized that I needed an organization that would come alongside of me from pre-launch to post-launch. I found that Go2 did just that. They came alongside of me and encouraged me to seek out the unique vision that God has given me. They continue to offer help and encouragement through regular networking opportunities with other church planters and practical workshops. The tools that they provided have been very much appreciated. The Assessment Center was extremely helpful and is a must for every potential church planter. My wife and I needed to hear the candid feedback (both strengths and weaknesses) from the assessors. The financial support that we received from Go2 has helped us to accomplish the mission that God has called us to – to be a catalyst for life change through the message of Jesus Christ. Thank you, Go2!”
