Planting Stories
Our church planters come from all walks of life — from various stages of life. Each one is called to minister to the lost, assessed to determine their giftedness and trained to be fully effective in the field.

Chad Presley, Fort Worth, Texas
Chad, along with his wife Christina, have a passion to gather Christ-seekers by meeting people where they are, connecting to the culture and embodying the authenticity and relevance of Jesus, resulting in changed lives. They were drawn to Fort Worth, Texas, a city primed for a creative, missional church that desires to reach the unchurched and serve the people in the community.
A vital component of getting a strong start in their church planting journey was participation in the Assessment Center, led by Jim Snavely, Go2’s Northeast U.S. Church Planting Director.
“Chad and Christina’s Assessment Center results clearly identify that they both have the giftedness, temperament, motivation, and leadership style for church planting. Their daily lifestyle shows a consistency in relationship-building in their community, sharing Christ and coaching and discipling new believers. They have a history of successfully building ministries from scratch and mobilizing people to take ownership in these ministries.” – Jim Snavely
The feeling was mutual, as Chad shares about the Assessment Center experience:
“The Assessment Center Christina and I went to was beyond God-sent. Jim Snavely and our assessors prepared us for the rocky and fun road of church planting. Although we dug into some heavy life issues with men we had just met, we were blessed beyond comprehension. Christina and I did not expect to be ministered to, we expected to be interviewed; but they gave us so much compassion and attention. I would never consider planting a church without going through such an intense process. Their wisdom was greatly needed and wanted.”
